The analysis of training needs is not a task for specialists alone. Managers today are often responsible for many forms of people management, including the training and development of their team. They need to have an understanding of training needs analysis and be able to implement them successfully. Effective LNA involves systematic planning, analysis and coordination across the organisation. Fife College has a long history of working with employers to develop bespoke training plans to develop their businesses. In this workshop we will take you through the basics of how to;
• Prepare an investigation plan for the identification of current and future training needs
• Select and use a range of information-gathering methods so that training needs are identified
• Apply a practical technique for the analysis of the data to identify needs and determine priorities
• Use a framework to produce a plan to show the proposed training solution
